Stupid Question of the Day: How do you make propane?

Stupid Question of the Day is a new feature in this site. It's usually when I don't know an answer and I look it up or someone else asks me the question and I look it up for them.

QUESTION: Where does propane come from or do we make it?
ANSWER: It is both natural and manufactured. In the United States, 53% is from natural gas production and 47% is from refining crude oil. It is considered to be environmentally friendly and is naturally odorless; however, manufacturers add an odor so it can be easily detected.
